Canadians Kicked Out of Rival Casinos

A few days ago Canadian online casino players were notified that they would no longer be welcome at Rival casinos. This was completely unexpected and seemingly without merit. There are no laws against betting at internet casinos in Canda. Consequently, Canadian online gamblers and affiliates have been largely aghast and surprised by this sudden move.

Effective February 1st, 2009, affiliates will no longer receive compensation for Canadian players that they have recruited to any Rival casinos. This is largely because no new players from Canada will be able to register or join any Rival casinos after this date.

Existing players have until February 28, 2009 to retrieve all of the money out of their accounts. After this time, no monies will be released. Players from Canada that are already members of Rival Gaming websites will no longer be allowed to make deposits or use any available bonuses. All accounts will be suspended indefinitely after February 28, 2009.

Currently, two Rival Casinos companies have confirmed the news. They are Paradise 8 and

Sloto Cash Casino. They have already announced the new guidelines on their website and contacted their current and incoming members as well as affiliates. The other Rival Casionos will likely be following suit shortly.

The obvious question that everyone is asking is “Why?” It seems like the decision to exclude Canadian players came out of the blue and for no good reason. While Rival Casinos are not explaining to their members or affiliates why they have made this major decision, there is some speculation. Most reports suggests that the Rival Gaming suppliers began putting pressure on them to no longer service players from Canada. However, there is no known reason why.

What is even more disheartening for many people is that is believed that the popular

internet casinos software company is owned by citizens from Canada. This is resulting in a lot of sore feelings by the Canadian internet gaming community and affiliates who earned money recruiting players from this country for Rival casinos.

Thankfully, all is not lost. Because internet casinos are legal in Canada, its’ citizens have many more options as it concerns playing. Rival Gaming may have shot itself in the foot by excluding such a large population and without seemingly legitimate reasons. There will likely be some backlash especially if the company ever decides to change their mind and re-open their casinos to players from Canada. Just as in any other industry, some other casino(s) will benefit greatly from this. There will be lots of money and members up for grabs. You may seem some really great bonuses made available to capture these players.
